Principal's Welcome

As Principal, one of my greatest joys is witnessing our students grow and thrive. We believe that children learn best when they take ownership of their learning. By nurturing their potential, we encourage them to explore new ideas, embrace challenges, and learn from their experiences.

Our school delights in our rich history, honouring the spirit of the founding Mercy Sisters. Their faith and values continue to inspire every aspect of school life as we follow their example of respect, compassion, and resilience.

In partnership with St Patrick’s Cathedral parish, we are committed to supporting families in deepening the faith journey of our students. Student wellbeing is our top priority and we offer a supportive environment to feel confident and safe. We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
