Last Tuesday, the sun shone down on our school as we gathered together to enjoy running, jumping, throwing, and catching during our school's annual athletics 🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♂️carnival. We are still waiting to hear who won the day and the Spirit Cup, but I think we were all winners on the day. Look at the seven-year-olds enjoying the day! 💚💛💚💛

Congratulations 🙏 to the students who received their First Holy Communion ✝️ this morning during the 9:30 Mass at St Patrick's Cathedral. ⛪️ May the Blessed Sacrament continue to be part of your life as you journey through life. May we all remember the importance of sharing the love 🫶 of Jesus with all we meet, as Father Robert mentioned during his homily this morning. Did you know our Year 5 students participated in the "Inquisitive Minds Mathematics Tournament"➕➖➗✖️🟰 on Friday, 13 June? Mrs Rhee-Jadrabieb escorted ten of our mathematically minded students to Cerdon College, where they came together with students from other diocesan schools and collaboratively🫶 solved some very challenging tasks. Even though their minds were hard at work, they still managed to smile and laugh together. 🎼 Did you know our school choir was asked to perform at the opening of the Sisters of Mercy Heritage Trail? Their beautiful voices are being heard throughout Parramatta. Such a fantastic achievement. This week, Mr McIntosh👨‍🚒shared his more serious side with our Year 2 students when he was a guest speaker. In Year 2, students learn about how to keep themselves safe.🧑‍🚒 Mr McIntosh taught the students how to stay safe and prevent fires 🔥, as well as what to do in the event of a fire 🔥. He also showed them his protective gear. He is sure to wear👩‍🚒 these when out at jobs, either in buildings or in bushland. Year 6 spent some time learning about the intricate skills needed to play Go Ball.⚽️ Did you know?
